    Interviewing

I recruited 5 people either living or working in Providence for a 15-20 minute interview, consisting of:

Open ended questions about their experience in the city
A quick user test for the current PVD311 website.

After the interviews, I gained the following key findings:

Thoughts on the city:

3 of 5 participants enjoy the small neighborhood

2 of 5 participants don’t think the city cares for them

Thoughts on PVD311:

3 of 5 participants thought the information was unorganized
wanted more clarity on buttons and interactions
disliked the lack of accessibility

    User Story

As a group, our team came up with the following three user personas as well as a journey map:

My user story:
As a resident, I want to report issues with ease, so that I can help maintain the city’s safety and cleanliness.

My hypothesis:
A clear indication of the request process, paired with freedom to change/edit items, would make reporting issues easier and more efficient.
